For complex and irregular income

Irregular income is no reason to guess whether the money will last until payday

Budget Guru is a cash-flow tracker for multiple currencies, hourly income and irregular payments: a real date-by-date forecast of cash gaps, an honest answer to “can I afford this?”, and an AI assistant that answers with exact numbers instead of guessing.

Budget Guru overview: balances, warnings and a forecast by payment waves

Sound familiar?

Most apps answer “how much did I spend?”. That’s not the question that actually keeps you up at night.

“Will I make it to payday?”

Today’s account balance tells you almost nothing about the 25th, when rent, insurance and an installment payment all land at once.

A wave of payments

Several charges within a day or two of each other, and the account quietly goes negative — even though “on average over the month” everything adds up.

“Can I afford this?”

There seems to be money in the account. But will it still last until the next payday if you spend it right now?

Features

Not a subscription to yesterday’s numbers — a tool that calculates ahead

Forecast by payment waves

A month’s payments naturally cluster. We show how much you need for each wave and whether it’s enough — not just an “average balance”.

“Can I afford this?”

A hypothetical purchase is tested against the real cash-flow forecast — with a date and an amount, not by eye.

An AI assistant that doesn’t make things up

It answers with exact figures from the actual calculation, not an AI guess — the numbers come from the same engine that builds the whole forecast, with no rounding and no hallucinations.

Multiple currencies and debts

EUR, USD, crypto — each transaction at its actual rate. Debts and installments come with a schedule that doesn’t drift from reality.

Hourly income and taxes

Hourly rate, daily hours norm, tax rules by date — income doesn’t have to be one fixed salary once a month.

Private by default

No access to your cards, accounts or banking APIs. Manual entry only — your finances stay yours alone.

A real-life example

My wife suddenly wanted a 300 € treadmill

There’s money in the account. But if you buy it now, will it last until the next payday, taking into account every payment that lands before then? Budget Guru doesn’t just say “yes” or “no” — it shows exactly what happens to each upcoming wave of payments, and how much is left at the tightest point.

“Yes, comfortably”

At the tightest point you’ll have €7,600 left

App screens

Budget, accounts, transactions — no spreadsheets

Budget: items by section, with and without one-time expenses

Budget — mandatory, everyday and one-off items, a monthly plan with and without one-time expenses

Accounts: real money, assets and debts in different currencies

Accounts — cash on hand, assets and debts side by side, in their own currencies, no mental conversion

Wherever you are

Available in the browser — on your computer and your phone

Nothing to install: Budget Guru opens in an ordinary browser on desktop and on mobile. For convenience you can save it to your phone’s home screen and it will open like a full app. Native iOS and Android apps are planned.

Why this exists

I built this for myself — and decided to show it to you

First there was a giant Excel spreadsheet. Then CoinKeeper, then Zen-Money. Every time I ran into the same three questions nobody could answer: will the money last until a given date, what happens with a wave of regular payments, and can I afford this right now.

When an hourly rate, taxes under a different system and multiple currencies joined the picture, it became clear that no ready-made tool existed for this. I’m a product person with a development background, so about a month ago I deployed Budget Guru, cancelled my Zen-Money subscription, and have kept my budget only in it ever since.

What’s deliberately missing

Not because we ran out of time — because we decided it’s more honest this way

Bank syncing

Manual entry only — your accounts don’t end up in any third-party service other than your own.

Judgmental verdicts

No “you’re breaking the 50/30/20 rule” — just numbers and context, and the decisions are yours.

Advice on what to buy

Neither the screens nor the AI assistant recommend banks, cards or products — this is not an ad platform.

FAQ

Short and without marketing fog

How much does it cost?

Free during early access. No hidden charges after a 3-day trial — if that changes, it will be said plainly right here.

Do I need to link bank cards or accounts?

No, and you never will — it’s a deliberate decision, not an unfinished feature. All transactions are entered manually.

Can I import data from Excel or another budgeting app?

Honestly: by hand only for now — automatic import of bank statements is planned but not built yet. Setting up your accounts and budget items from scratch takes a reasonable amount of time.

Is there a separate mobile app?

For now it works in the browser — on your phone too, and you can save it to the home screen and open it like a regular app. Native iOS/Android apps are planned.

Can I suggest a feature or report a bug?

Yes — there’s a feedback form right in the app. During early access, feedback is read and genuinely influences what gets built next.

Try it yourself

Set up your accounts and budget items — and see what will actually happen to your money by the next payday.
